If Myrna doesn’t respond when you knock on her Tilsley Village apartment door, you might strike out and walk the hallways.
As a new resident that’s what she often enjoys doing—walking the labyrinthine corridors when she’s not participating in activities or watching TV.

Myrna was born and raised in Wichita, the youngest of her parents’ three children. Her father was an electrical contractor who was instrumental in the construction of water power plants in Wichita and Topeka.
After high school she attended Kansas State University, earning a degree in physical education in 1958 and a master’s degree in library science from Emporia State University in 1968. Her teaching career included working at Santa Fe Middle School and Newton High School in physical education and as a librarian.
In 1958-59 she met Phil Scott, a social studies and PE (tennis) teacher at Newton High School, while attending a picnic.
The seeds for a healthy relationship developed through common interests and their respective life experiences consummating in their marriage on July 23, 1959.
Their three children: Grant, Dalton, and Catherine along with four grandchildren (and grand-dogs) continue to offer Myrna the support and enrichment that insures her life here at Kansas Christian Home is so enjoyable.
