About Us
At KCH, we make it our mission to care for aging adults spiritually, physically, and mentally. Because we accept this calling, our goal is to provide residents with an enjoyable experience and quality care.
Kansas Christian Home is focused on fostering independence, promoting overall wellness, and enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents.
Our programs are designed for building relationships within the Kansas Christian Home community. It has always been and will continue to be our vision to foster personal relationships with our residents, thus expanding beneficial experiences for all. Our community is a growing, living, thriving, and working community where all members—established or new—are welcome, cared for, and valued.
Kansas Christian Home’s History
Kansas Christian Home opened in Newton, KS in 1962 and made its commitment to caring for the aging through the Christian Church-Disciples of Christ. Initially launched under the leadership of Reverend Dr. James Tilsley, Kansas Christian Home has continued to receive the same high-level of support. Those working at KCH have remained committed to supporting residents to achieve their individual goals through services ranging from Independent Living, Independent Living (with Home Health services available on request), Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Long-term Care.
The Legacy of John Gift
Every year, gifts to the Legacy of John – totaling more than $200,000 – are used to support the care and improve the lives of KCH residents. All gifts to the Legacy of John benefit residents of KCH in need of charitable care and and can be used to secure future improvements as well.
Kansas Christian Home holds an annual benefit event to support the Legacy of John, however, donations are welcomed throughout the year. Please contact Justin Harland at jharland@kschristianhome.org for more information or donations.
