This Easter, the Kansas Christian Home’s long-term care facility had the joy of hosting an Intergenerational Easter Egg Hunt with the neighboring Slate Creek Elementary School—and it was a heartwarming success!

Three lively kindergarten classes joined KCH for an afternoon filled with laughter, discovery, and sweet surprises.
The event brought together residents and children for a meaningful time of connection, reminding us all of the joy that comes from simple moments shared across generations.
Residents helped stuff Easter goodie bags, then cheered with delight as the children eagerly searched high and low for Easter Eggs.
For many of the KCH residents, seeing the young ones play and hearing their laughter was the highlight of the season.

And for the children, it was a chance to meet new friends with stories to share and smiles to give.
“We’re so grateful to the students, teachers, and staff who made this day possible. Events like these continue to strengthen the bonds between generations and bring life and energy to our community. We look forward to many more years of egg hunts and shared memories!” ~ Sam Schaefer, Director of Marketing
