Kansas Christian Home was thrilled to host our Backyard Bash lunch fundraiser on Friday, June 20, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! With around 100 people in attendance, the event was filled with delicious food, great music, and meaningful fellowship among friends of KCH and members of the Newton community.
Guests enjoyed a classic summer lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans, chips, and lemonade while taking in a live performance by the Great Plains Jazz Orchestra. The music created the perfect backdrop for an afternoon full of laughter, conversation, and community connection. Many who attended shared how much fun they were having and how much they enjoyed spending the afternoon together.
Most importantly, the generosity shown at Backyard Bash made a big impact. Thanks to the donations received, KCH raised enough money to fully cover the cost of our annual fireworks show. This beloved Independence Day tradition is held for KCH residents, their families, and the greater Newton community, who are all invited to join us on July 3 for an evening of celebration.
We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make Backyard Bash such a success. Events like this are a beautiful reminder of the support surrounding Kansas Christian Home and the joy that comes from gathering together for a great cause.
