Halloween at Kansas Christian Home (KCH) was full of laughter, wagging tails, and community spirit! This year’s celebration brought together our long-term care and independent living residents with 424 visitors from the Newton community for a fun-filled evening of festivities.
🐾 A Parade of Puppies and Costumes
The fun began with a heartwarming Puppy Parade, featuring local dogs dressed in adorable and creative costumes. Residents and guests cheered as the pups pranced through the crowd, spreading joy to everyone on campus. Missed the Puppy Parade? Check it out here: Puppy Parade at KCH
Our team members also joined the festivities with a staff costume contest and a pumpkin decorating competition, showing off their artistic and playful sides. 🍭 Treats, Trunks, and Togetherness
Families from the community enjoyed a free Halloween walk and trunk-or-treat, visiting decorated vehicles and trick-or-treating through the halls with residents. Together, we handed out nearly 100 pounds of candy to excited children—proof of just how big and sweet the night really was!

Residents loved seeing the smiles, laughter, and costumes of local families, creating wonderful memories and reminding everyone how special it is when generations come together.
